Most items are found inside "?" blocks. Jump under the box to release<br>
the item. There are also some hidden boxes which are solid but invisible<br>
until you bump them, but they won't release any item. There are some wooden<br>
boxes that will contain a random number of coins, and others that will<br>
contain nothing. Wooden boxes with nothing inside can be destroyed by<br>
jumping under them when "BigTux", or when throwing "Mr. IceBlock".<br>
<br>
- Coin<br>
Most abundant item. The only item which can also be found out of boxes.<br>
Each 100 coins collected will give you an extra life.<br>
<br>
- Egg (looks like a snowball)<br>
Only available when "Small Bob", will transform the hero into<br>
"Bob".<br>
<br>
- FireFlower<br>
Only available when not "Small Bob", will transform the hero into<br>
"Flame Bob".<br>
<br>
- Star<br>
Gives temporary invincibility.<br>
<br>
- Little penguin<br>
Gives an extra life.<br>
<br>
Note: In this guide, I will use "BigTux" when something is available for<br>
both "Bob" and "Flame Bob".<br>

| 6 |--| Enemies |<br>

<br>
All enemies will hurt you if you touch them. If you are "Flame Bob" and<br>
touch an enemy, you will be transformed into "Bob". If you are<br>
"Bob" and touch an enemy, you will be transformed into "Small Bob". In<br>
both cases, you will have some seconds of invincibility (during this time,<br>
Tux will be flashing). You will die if you are "Small Bob" and touch any<br>
enemy.<br>
You will also die if you touch the bottom edge of level.<br>
All enemies will die if hit by "Mr. Bomb" explosion, by "Mr. IceBlock"<br>
or by "fireball". Most will die when Tux jump on them. If there is an enemy<br>
over a block, it will die if you jump under the block.<br>
<br>
- Mr. Snowball<br>
Walks left or right.<br>
<br>
- Bouncing Snowball<br>
Keeps jumping (or bouncing) while moving left or right.<br>
<br>
- Flying Snowball<br>
Moves up and down in mid-air.<br>
<br>
- Mr. Bomb<br>
Walks left or right. If Tux jumps on "Mr. Bomb", it will explode after<br>
some seconds.<br>
<br>
- Mr. IceBlock<br>
Walks left or right. If Tux jumps on "Mr. IceBlock", Tux can carry and<br>
throw it. "Mr. IceBlock" will die if Tux jumps on it about 10 times.<br>
<br>
- Fish<br>
Goes up and down from water.<br>
<br>
- Spiky<br>
Walks left or right. Tux can't touch "Spiky".<br>
<br>
- Jumpy Spiky<br>
Keeps jumping up and down. Tux can't touch "Jumpy Spiky".<br>
<br>
There are also two "bad things" that aren't really enemies, but can<br>
hurt Tux:<br>

- Stalactite<br>
Will fall from ceiling when Tux is near. It will kill any enemy just<br>
under it. After touching floor, it is destroyed.<br>
<br>
- Flame<br>
A little fireball moving in a circle. Can't be destroyed.<br>

Below is a list of secrets of each level. Secrets are things you don't<br>
see, but hide items or paths. Some useful tips are also described for some<br>
levels.<br>

| World1 - Icyisland |<br>

1. Welcome to Antarctica<br>
- Just before finish line, there are 7 coins placed like an arrow pointing<br>
to left. Follow the arrow and you will find 10 coins inside the wall<br>
just below the "Jumpy Spiky".<br>
<br>
4. Tobgle Road<br>
- After 4 groups of 2 "?" blocks and 2 wooden boxes, there will be 2<br>
"Jumpy Spiky" and 6 coins. Don't get the coins and go inside the wall<br>
under them. There is a block with an extra life below the last coin.<br>
<br>
7. Oh no! More Snowballs!<br>
- Just after 4 little snow platforms with 2 coins between them, there is a<br>
hidden path inside the wall with a fish. Run inside it to land on a<br>
platform. The last "?" block of that platform contains an extra life.<br>
<br>
8. Stone Cold<br>
- At start of level, just after 3 "?" blocks, you will find a very high<br>
platform with lots os coins. There are two hidden blocks nearby (before<br>
the platforms) that will allow you to reach those coins.<br>
<br>
9. Grumbel's Sense of Snow<br>
- When you find some type of "bridge" with some floating blocks above it,<br>
jump on those blocks and keep always going near the sky. After you find<br>
two "?" blocks and a "Mr. Snowball", do a running jump onto a platform<br>
with 6 coins. Do a running jump again and you will find 20 coins and an<br>
extra life.<br>

10. 23rd Airborne<br>
- At start of level, go back and you will find an "egg" or "fireflower"<br>
inside the wall.<br>
- After 3 pipes with "Jumpy Spiky", one another "Jumpy Spiky" and two "Mr.<br>
IceBlock", there is a hidden path inside the wall with 48 coins.<br>

11. Night Chill<br>
- At start of level, there is a hidden block that allows you to reach the<br>
"?" block.<br>
- After a very tall snow hill, there will be 6 wide platforms, with 6 "?"<br>
blocks. At right of last "?" block, there are 2 hidden blocks. Use them<br>
to do a running jump to a platform with 9 coins. Do another running jump<br>
to find an extra life.<br>

14. Entrance to the Cave<br>
- There is a hidden path inside a very tall wall with 2 floating blocks.<br>
<br>
15. Under the Ice<br>
- At start of level, go one step down, then go left. This is a hidden path<br>
with 30 coins, only available when "Small Bob".<br>
- When you find 5 wooden boxes, 2 of them will contain coins. In addition,<br>
there is an extra life just above them.<br>
<br>
17. '...or is it just me?'<br>
- At start of level, there is a hidden block. Inside the wall near this<br>
block there is one "egg" or "fireflower".<br>
<br>
18. Ice in the Hole<br>
- At start of level, go back, inside the wall. Climb it, and jump over the<br>
top edge of level. Go right until you fall. There will be 1 extra life<br>
and 1 "egg" or "fireflower" there.<br>
- there is a hidden "star" inside the wall just above the first pipe, near<br>
1 "?" block and some "Mr. IceBlock".<br>
- After 2 pipes with 5 coins, there will be a single block on floor, under<br>
a hole in ceiling. There are 2 hidden blocks above it.<br>
<br>
20. End of the Tunnel<br>
- Go under the third wooden platform. If you are "BigTux", you can get 21<br>
coins and one life. If you are "Small Bob", you can get only 9 coins.<br>
- After 4 "?" blocks and a "Bouncing Snowball" on a ladder, go down. There<br>
are hidden blocks creating an invisible floor. Inside the wall under the<br>
ladder there is 1 extra life.<br>
<br>
21. A Path in the Clouds<br>
- On second ice column, you can fall and do a running jump to find an<br>
extra life.<br>
- You can stand on all high clouds after the second.<br>
- If you walk above the top edge of level, you will eventually find 183<br>
coins almost at end of level.<br>
<br>
22. No more Mr Ice Guy<br>
- Under third suspended platform, there are two fishes. The left one hides<br>
one invincibility and does have some hidden blocks below it (so, it is<br>
safe to stand under it). The right one is a hidden block to help you.<br>
<br>
23. The Escape<br>
- You can stand on two clouds just after 5 "?" blocks, 3 "Mr. IceBlock"<br>
and lots of coins in lower platform.<br>
<br>
24. The Shattered Bridge<br>
- After one very tall pipe, there is a hidden passage under the next<br>
bridge, exactly at water level. It will lead to 22 coins and 1 extra<br>
life.<br>
<br>
25. Arctic Ruins<br>
- There are some hidden blocks to help you reach higher platforms.<br>
- There is a hidden path inside some blocks, at right of a "?" block, near<br>
a "Bouncing Snowball".<br>
<br>
26. The Castle of Nolok<br>
- No secrets in the last level of World1. Good luck!<br>
<br>
<br>
The next table lists the width, the maximum time, the number of coins<br>
outside blocks, the number of hidden blocks and the number of extra lives<br>
in each level. Note, however, that not always is possible to get all coins<br>
or items of a level. Sometimes you must make a choice and leave some of<br>
them behind.<br>
